The aim of the programme is to train qualified specialists in tourism development (domestic, inbound, international) who are able to apply their skills to the field of complex recreational and geographic analysis to create and choose the product, and also to efficiently develop tourism in tourism and recreation destinations.

Programme contents.

The programme includes the following subjects: geographic complex as a condition for tourism and recreation; tourism national studies; aspects of tourism and recreation in the plain and mountains; tourism and recreation zoning of Siberia; communication in tourism and recreation; management of health-related and business tourism; geological, geomorphological, landscape and historical attractions; legal basis of government regulations in tourism and recreation.

In their studies, our students invite specialists from tourism businesses, research institutes and regional administrations.

Career.

Our Masters’ professional activity includes problems of decision-making in creating and choosing tourist products, in development and performance of programmes in creating new recreational systems. Qualifications obtained by our students allows them to be employed in regional and city government agencies of tourism, businesses (tourist agencies, traveling agencies, tour operators working on recreational systems).

Admissions.

Admission is competitive, students with Bachelor’s degrees or higher are eligible. The admission tests are an exam in Geography and an interview.
