The program focuses on R&D in the development of advanced competitive resource-saving metal forming technologies such as technologies for rolled products of high-alloyed steels and alloys, nonferrous metals (titanium, zirconium and other alloys), prospective technology design and modeling, and creation of new types of products. For R&D purposes students use the equipment at Scientific and Production Centre at the Metal Forming Department (MFD) equipped with unique deformation complexes, at the laboratories of R&D companies, and the metallurgical and defense enterprises.
