Math of Machine Learning

The goal of the new joint programme is to develop a new generation of scientists who can effectively  carry out fundamental research and work on new challenging problems in statistical learning theory. This area is at the cutting edge of various disciplines of mathematics and computer science. It is one of the most dynamic and perspective areas of modern science, encompassing such fields as mathematical statistics, machine learning, optimization, information and complexity theory, etc. At the start of the programme, all students will be involved in thematic working groups, as well as actively participate in modern research. Leading HSE and Skoltech scientists will take part in the programme, along with leading global specialists in such fields as statistics, optimization and machine learning.
