The Institute of World Economy and Business

The Institute celebrated its 25th anniversary in December 2015. The Institute has trained over 2000 specialists in the spheres of economics, advertising, management, marketing and linguistics. Our graduates have leading positions in state structures, large international banks and transnational corporations. According to statistics, 75% of students, who graduated from IIEB, find jobs in their speciality immediately after graduation, the rest 25% do so within a short period of time.

There are 3 Bachelor’s programmes, 7 Master’s programmes and an MBA programme in IWEB. One of the competitive advantages of the curriculum organisation at our Institute is programme method of training. This form of organising the studies gives the opportunity to react flexibly to the changes on labour market and employers’ requirements, to adjust educational programmes taking into account the changes in science, world economy, new advertising techniques and managerial decisions.

Another advantage is the fact that we are able to invite the leading experts – practitioners in the spheres of economics, advertising, management and marketing – to give lectures, hold workshops and seminars, organise round-table discussions and business club meetings. Such lessons allow students to acquire professional practical skills and see the issues in the named spheres in a new light.

Apart from basic and professional subjects, IWEB students learn two foreign languages within the basic educational programme, which gives them the chance to put their communicational, professional and competitive skills to best use at work. Master’s programme is taught optionally in three languages, which are Russian, English and Spanish.

Our graduates get state diplomas of the appropriate level of training and diplomas of further education in language programmes. Various scholarship programmes run in IWEB give the opportunity to all students to apply their capabilities in professional, scientific and public fields.

We have adaptation programmes for foreign students. They all can learn the Russian language, as well as our customs and traditions, visit excursions in Moscow and other Russian cities. Each foreign student has an adviser (one of Russian A-students) who helps them in theirs studies and IWEB student life. It is worth mentioning, that IWEB organises internships for foreigners in Russian companies and banks. During this period foreign students can get practical work experience, compare the systems of different spheres in Russia and their native countries and adopt the advanced management experience in various sectors of the national economy of our country.

IWEB has been a member of Russian Organisation of Business Education since 1990. MBA programme is one of the forms of further education and has been realised since 1992. It is one of the first successful MBA programmes in Russia, which has trained over 600 people from Russia and other countries. The students in this programme are experts from large state and commercial companies and institutions, bankers, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.

The classes are given by top-managers of the largest Russian and foreign companies, such as JSC “Oil Company LUKOIL”, JSC “Gazprom” – CC “Yamalnazinvest”, Sberbank of Russia, Nestle, Adidas, Coca-Cola, Healty, L’Oreal, CC “Ressony” and others. Our Institute’s slogan is “Career, quality, success”, and it says it all.
