Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University was founded in 1899. Our university is one of the leading technical universities in Russia.
Polytechnic is among the top 3 Russian universities in terms of the number of international students and is a leader in the quality of training.
We have more than 33000 students, of whom more than 5200 are foreigners from 107 countries. The university employs 2000 teachers, including more than 160 invited from abroad. Polytechnic offers more than 300 bachelor's and master's degree programs to foreign students, as well as more than 90 scientific postgraduate programs. Education at the university takes place in Russian and English. The university implements more than 30 international bachelor's and master's degree programs in English. For students wishing to learn Russian we have been created special programs of preparation for entering the university.

70+ sports sections are available for all students. The modern sports complex includes a swimming pool, a stadium with two soccer fields and a hockey rink, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball halls, wrestling, boxing and weightlifting halls, a rock-climbing wall, gyms, a ski base, etc.
Dormitories
Full-time students are provided with a place in a block-type dormitory for 3-4 people per room. There are 2 living rooms and a bathroom in a block. Each dormitory has modern kitchens, laundry rooms, study rooms and recreational space.
One-stop clearance center
A modern, convenient, multifunctional center with a comfortable and modern waiting room, electronic queue and multi-lingual navigation, where you can apply for registration, visa, migration registration, dormitory move-in process and health insurance policy.
International Campus
All international students of SPbPU live in the international part of the campus. The dormitories are located close to the academic buildings and the sports center. All buildings are equipped with video surveillance systems, entrance is by electronic badge, which guarantees safety for all
University Campus
The unique campus of SPbPU with an area of 120 hectares looks like a small city. The campus was created in the image and type of Oxford and Cambridge. There are 170 academic and research buildings, administrative buildings, a sports complex, a polyclinic and a campus of 18 dormitories.
