About organization
DSTU is the largest dynamically developing scientific and educational complex in the South of Russia with over 47,000 students, 3,500 of whom are students from other countries. The educational process includes the best practices of leading companies in their industry, and the content of the training courses corresponds to the current and future needs of the country’s and the world’s economy. The structure of the university includes 5 institutes and 22 faculties, as well as a joint educational platform of DSTU in China. There are 10 student dormitories to accommodate out-of-town and foreign students. DSTU is included in leading international and regional rankings, annually improving its position in the global scientific and educational space. DSTU features a developed infrastructure that provides solutions to various tasks: from research and education to entertainment, at the university, regional, and federal level.

University infrastructure
Campus
The DSTU Campus is a city within a city. Its area is more than 19 hectares. It features a modern congress hall, a sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool, 10 dormitories, and 20 academic buildings. The Campus has everything you need to study, develop, play sports, and relax.
Pre-University Faculty
The International Faculty has been teaching Russian and training specialists for foreign countries for 50 years.
Annually, we train more than 300 students from 70 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America according to state standards.
Sports
DSTU is a leader in the development of student sports in the region. All necessary conditions and powerful sports and material facilities have been created here. The University has many specialized sports clubs for various sports, where every student can find something to their liking.
Educational & production base
Educational and industrial platforms are being created at the University. A Modern Agriculture classroom, an Innovation Implementation Center, and a joint laboratory with the Rostselmash plant are available. Students gain practical experience using modern world-class equipment.
Laboratories
At DSTU, much attention is paid to the development of youth science, support for young scientists, and youth research laboratories are being created aimed at solving scientific and applied problems that the real economy poses to researchers.
Dormitories
The Student Quarter is one of the largest structural divisions of the University. The Student Quarter includes 10 dormitories, which are home to more than 5,000 students from 67 countries. In 2020, the largest 23-storey student dormitory in the Rostov region was opened at DSTU.
