Today, TSU is one of six universities participating in the pilot project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia to transform the Russian higher education system. We have established the Advanced Engineering School "Agrobiotech," which implements projects and personnel training in the fields of agro-, bio-, and ecotechnologies. I will add that in 2028, TSU will celebrate its 150th anniversary since its foundation.
About the organization
Tomsk State University (TSU) was founded on May 28, 1878. It is the first Russian university on the territory of Russian Asia, one of three dozen national research universities. Tomsk State University includes 22 faculties and educational institutes, about 150 departments. Multi-level training of specialists, interdisciplinary programs, open lectures, individual training plans, more than 120 directions and specialties, as well as more than 240 profiles – all this is our university. At the faculties and research centers, 600 professors, doctors of sciences, and 1300 candidates of sciences work.
