Bryansk State University is a major educational, scientific, and cultural center of the Bryansk region. It is the leading higher educational institution in the region, providing training for highly qualified specialists in a wide range of fields. The university is known for its educational, scientific, and historical-cultural traditions. The milestones of the recent history of BSU convincingly testify to its dynamic development and the strengthening of the positions of classical university education. Its structure includes the Institute of Russian and Romano-Germanic Philology, 11 faculties, 30 departments, and a branch in Novozybkov. The university is oriented towards the systematic formation of personnel potential and the labor market. The university has a license from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to conduct educational activities in 3 specialties, 30 bachelor's degree areas, 20 master's degree areas, and 22 scientific specialties in postgraduate studies.

Bryansk State University has a sufficient base for physical culture and sports activities. This includes 7 gyms with a total area of 936 sq.m., 2 sports grounds (total area 280 sq.m.), a stadium with an area of 5000 sq.m., and a ski base (48 sq.m.).
BSU Dining Room
Staff and student meals are served in the university cafeteria (total usable area 520 sq.m., for 200 seats). Buffets and ready-made baked goods sales points are organized in the educational buildings.
Sanatorium-Preventorium of BSU
The sanatorium-preventorium carries out medical activities under license in such areas as therapy, dentistry, neurology, dietetics, nursing, physiotherapy, and medical massage. The reception is conducted by a therapist of the highest category, a neurologist of the highest category, and a nurse.
Library
The university library provides each student with basic educational and educational-methodological literature, methodological aids necessary for organizing the educational process in all disciplines of the implemented educational programs.
