About the University
The Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "North Caucasus State Academy" was founded on the basis of the Karachay-Cherkess Technological Institute in September 1991 and today is a key multidisciplinary university in the North Caucasus region. The North Caucasus State Academy conducts educational activities in 74 higher and secondary education programs, including: bachelor's degree - 18, specialty - 9, master's degree - 6, residency - 14, postgraduate degree - 10, vocational education - 17. The academy has formed a qualified faculty of 340 pedagogical workers, including 31 doctors of science and 171 candidates of science. Graduates of SKGA are in demand in all sectors of the region's economy, Russia, and countries of the near and far abroad (including Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, India, Bangladesh, etc.). SKGA has all the necessary infrastructure for successful study and recreation (7 educational buildings, a swimming pool, a sports complex, a study base in Arkhyz and Sochi, a medical center, etc.).

Students and teachers of the SKGA can undergo a medical examination and receive consultations from the necessary specialists - surgeon, gastroenterologist, dentist, etc. They can also undergo a series of diagnostic examinations: ECG, 24-hour monitoring, ultrasound (of all organs), cholesterol levels, blood glucose, etc.

The academy has 4 educational bases: "Narat" (settlement of Arkhyz, Zelenchuksky District), "UNPC" (settlement of Krasny Kurgan, Malokarachayevsky District), "Kholodok" (settlement of Anchor Shchel, Lazarevsky District, Sochi), and the educational-experimental farm of the agrarian institute of SKGA (settlement of Schastly, Prikubansky District).
Sports complex and swimming pool
SKGA has a modern sports complex for conducting physical education classes and independent training for students and teachers. The pool in SKGA is 25 m long, with 6 lanes and a 5-stage ozone water purification system. The total area of the pool is 400 sq.m.
