About the University
Surgut State University is the largest university in Yugra. The university implements higher education programs at all levels in a wide range of directions and specialties based on six educational and scientific institutes: humanitarian education and sports, state and law, natural and technical sciences, economics and management, medical and polytechnic institutes. The principles of continuous education are being implemented, and educational clusters "school – college – university – enterprise" have been established. The priority areas of the university's research activities are: IT technologies, petroleum chemistry, natural resource management, ecology, and medicine of the North. The university has the largest scientific library in the region, with a document collection of more than 600,000 copies.
