Dmitry Chernyshenko meets students and heads of branches of Russian universities in Uzbekistan
The event was held at the Tashkent branch of the Russian Foreign Ministry's MGIMO. The meeting was moderated by Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Head of the Ministry of science and higher education of the Russian Federation
"The youth of Russia and Uzbekistan share similar spiritual and moral values. Young people are increasingly interested in working together for the prosperity and well-being of our countries," emphasized Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The number of branches of Russian universities in Uzbekistan exceeds that of any other country. Currently, there are 14 branches in the republic, with 12 already operational. Almost 8,000 students are enrolled in these institutions. Earlier, during the meeting between the Presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan, the ministers of both countries signed a memorandum to establish a BMSTU branch in Tashkent.
"Our discussion focused on enhancing the quality of education in Uzbekistan to support its rapidly growing economy in branches of Russian leading universities. We explored advanced educational practices, the potential for replicating these methods, the role of industrial partners and the importance of pre-university education," said Konstantin Mogilevsky.
