About the University
MTUCI is a leading university of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia and one of the country’s oldest specialized technical universities. Founded in 1921, the university has been training specialists for more than 100 years, combining fundamental engineering education with cutting-edge scientific research.
Today, MTUCI trains specialists in telecommunications, software engineering, artificial intelligence, information security, radio engineering, quantum and optical communications, robotics, the digital economy, media communications, and management.
The university offers international students modern educational and research infrastructure, comfortable dormitories, and comprehensive support. MTUCI cooperates with leading Russian and foreign universities, research centers, and high-tech companies, implementing joint educational programs, research projects, and academic exchanges. Around 800 international students from the CIS, Asia, Africa, and South America study at the university.

Robotics Laboratory
The MTUCI single-brand industrial robotics laboratory, established on the basis of KUKA industrial manipulators with the support of Inspair, a provider of specialized technical solutions, has begun training students and conducting research.
Design Center
The Sputniks Small Spacecraft Design Center is a unique laboratory for bringing the boldest technical ideas to life in outer space. The laboratory enables users to design payloads for spacecraft, develop their own services, and conduct testing.
AR/VR Center
The MTUCI laboratory is developing a fiber-optic splicing simulator: in virtual reality, there is no risk of damaging expensive equipment, so the virtual environment can and should be used for personnel training and education.
Museum of Telecommunications History
The museum houses one of the largest collections of rare professional and household equipment in Russia, dating from the late 19th to the mid-20th century.
