About the training program
Acoustics is a field of physics that studies the properties of elastic oscillations and waves from low frequencies (conditionally from 0 Hz) to extremely high frequencies of 1012—1013 Hz, their interaction with matter, and the application of the acquired knowledge to solve a wide range of engineering problems. At Nizhny Novgorod State University, the master's program includes the following sections of acoustics. Hydroacoustics — sound propagation and scattering in the ocean and coastal seas. Nonlinear acoustics — high-intensity sound propagation, acoustic noises, nonlinear acoustic diagnostic methods. Medical acoustics — the use of ultrasound in the tasks of medical diagnostics and analysis of biological fluids.
