About the University
The university is the successor to the Novgorod Teachers' Seminary, where future teachers studied the Law of God, Russian and Slavic languages, arithmetic, geometry, natural science, music, and other sciences. Since then, the university has been rapidly developing and acquiring new technological achievements. Since 1994, the university has been named after Yaroslav the Wise — the prince who laid the foundations of education in Novgorod. For the first time in Russia, Novgorod State University has united several universities, technical schools, and scientific and production structures on a voluntary basis, preserving and enhancing their scientific, educational, and socio-cultural potential. Today, the structure of NovSU consists of 7 institutes, 3 colleges, 3 departments of vocational schools, 60 departments.

"School 21" is a joint project of Sber, the Government of the Novgorod Region, and Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University. It is also a structural unit of Novgorod State University and a unique environment where learning is built on the principle of "equal to equal": without teachers and lectures.

university campus
The campus will be located in close proximity to the Polytechnic Institute and the Polytechnic College of Novgorod State University. The campus will include five residential buildings for four thousand students and teachers of the university and secondary vocational education institutions of Veliky Novgorod.
