About the training program
The Specialist degree program in Applied Geology, specializing in Geological Surveying, Prospecting and Exploration of Solid Mineral Deposits, prepares professionals for the geological exploration and mining industries. Students study general and historical geology, mineralogy, petrography, structural geology, geological surveying methods, geophysical and geochemical prospecting methods, as well as techniques for mineral deposit exploration and reserve estimation. An important part of the program is field training and work with mining and geological information systems. Graduates plan and conduct geological exploration activities, provide geological support for mining operations, assess the prospects of sites, and prepare documentation.
