About the training program

The content of the Bachelor's degree programme in Philosophy fully reflects the distinctive character of RUDN University as an internationally oriented institution. As part of the programme, students study Chinese, Indian, Arab-Muslim, Western and Russian philosophy, and become acquainted with contemporary Latin American and African philosophy. No other Russian university offers such a range of subjects. For centuries, philosophers have played a leading role in shaping political ideologies and social concepts, understanding different types of worldviews, and developing the principles of tolerance, liberalism and democracy on which modern developed societies are built.

What will they teach you?

Освоить историко философское наследие: разбираться в классических и современных философских традициях (западной, русской, восточных), понимать ключевые концепции от античности до постмодерна.
Владеть методами философского анализа: применять логику, аргументацию, критический разбор текстов, выявлять противоречия и строить обоснованные рассуждения.
Понимать теорию познания и этику: анализировать, как формируется знание, какие критерии истинности существуют, как строятся моральные обоснования и ценностные системы.
Работать с академическими текстами: читать сложные первоисточники, реферировать, конспектировать, писать эссе и аналитические работы по философской проблематике.
Применять философский подход к актуальным вопросам: осмысливать проблемы науки, технологий, общества, культуры и политики через призму философских категорий.
Развивать навыки научно исследовательской и педагогической деятельности: участвовать в семинарах, конференциях, готовить доклады, осваивать академическую коммуникацию.
