About the training program
The Gastroenterology residency program is a two-year full-time course for physicians holding a degree in General Medicine or Pediatrics. Its aim is to train gastroenterologists capable of independently managing patients with diseases of the digestive system and providing specialized and emergency care. A key component is clinical practice in gastroenterology departments and specialized centers: under the supervision of a clinical mentor, residents see patients, formulate diagnoses, prescribe treatment, master medical procedures, and learn to justify clinical decisions.
