About the training program
The economic use of Arctic territories primarily involves the extraction of minerals in the continental and shelf zones of the Arctic and the development of the Northern Sea Route. The increase in the volume of economic activity increases the anthropogenic load on the nature of the Arctic. In Russia, there are territories that most vividly reflect the characteristic features of Arctic zonal ecosystems, where approximately 80% of the total species biodiversity of the Arctic lives. Therefore, it is necessary to find a balance between resource development and maintaining the sustainability of the Arctic ecosystem. Conducting economic activities on the territory of a unique ecosystem poses new challenges in the field of personnel training.
