The Rector
Gubkin University occupies a special place in the global educational space. The distinctive feature of the university is its close connection with the industry, which has not been severed since its foundation as a key scientific and educational center of the oil and gas complex. About the University
Gubkin University was established in 1930 by Academician Ivan Gubkin – the founder of petroleum geology – as a key university in the oil and gas industry. For 95 years, it has maintained this role, developing strategic technologies. The high level of graduate training is determined by the traditions laid down by I.M. Gubkin:

The Palace of Culture "Gubkinets" is one of the largest cultural and business centers in the city, featuring:

Scientific and Technical Library
The main principle is that all our readers should want to spend as much time as possible in the library: studying and communicating.
