About the training program

The goal of the program is to prepare bachelors to participate in research to improve experimental techniques in high-energy physics, as well as to solve fundamental problems of cosmology and particle physics. The uniqueness of the program lies in the combination of physical and mathematical disciplines with IT-technologies, which allows the graduate to analyze a large amount of data using various methods, including artificial intelligence.

What do graduates do?

Graduates of the program have in-depth knowledge of experimental nuclear physics, particle physics and cosmophysics. They can participate in the preparation and conduct of experiments, including the design and construction of particle and radiation detectors, as well as in the processing and analysis of experimental data. The graduate department is the base department of the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute”, and also maintains close cooperation with leading scientific centers of Russia and the world.
