About the University
Sechenov University was founded in 1758 and is the oldest medical university in Russia. Here, a rich history and the expertise of its teaching staff are combined with modern educational and medical technologies, ensuring a high standard of graduate training. Our students gain clinical experience in university hospitals, where more than 80,000 inpatients and 300,000 outpatients receive treatment every year. At the Scientific and Technological Park of Biomedicine, the research center of Sechenov University, scientists develop new medicines and biomedical products. Sports Club “Burevestnik”
At the Burevestnik Club, international students can take part in citywide sports competitions and events organized by Sechenov University. They can also use sports and fitness gyms and attend training sessions in various sports, including football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, and others.

The Sechenovets Summer Student Sports and Recreation Camp has been operating for over 50 years. It is a hub of cultural and sporting life, a place for summer recreation, and the heart of student life. Theatre Center “Na Plyushchikhe”
A unique cultural space opened by Sechenov University in 2023 in the very heart of Moscow. Here, our students discover and develop their talents by taking part in creative groups, clubs, and studios. You can attend theatrical performances and concerts featuring leading artists.
Scientific infrastructure
The Biomedical Science and Technology Park is the center of our biomedical research and development. Here, students work with leading scientists from Sechenov University to study the mechanisms underlying diseases and develop new treatments and medical devices.
FIRST MED MEDIA
FIRST MED MEDIA is a student media center that informs students about events within the University and beyond. The center comprises 7 specialized departments: photographers, videographers, reporters, social media specialists, designers, sound engineers, and correspondents.
