About the University
A modern scientific and educational environment has been formed at the university, guaranteeing the training of competitive, in-demand specialists based on a combination of modern technologies and the best traditions of classical university education. The educational model of KubSU is "classical university in a digital society and knowledge economy." The main task of the university is to cultivate a comprehensively developed personality that effectively realizes itself in modern society, capable of a deep understanding of its professional sphere and the corresponding processes in society, the realization of its value position, and effective professional activity. Such a model implies a combination of academic subject depth, scientific and general cultural outlook, stable value orientations, and general cultural and professional competencies of university graduates.

The research infrastructure includes 5 research institutes, 6 scientific and educational centers, 2 collective use centers, 6 scientific and production centers, "Technopark University," a center for forecasting geoecological and man-made disasters, the Novorossiysk Marine Biological Center, and others.
Botanical Garden
The Educational Botanical Garden of Kuban State University was established in 1972. The area of the botanical garden is 16 hectares. The main purpose of the garden is the introduction, study, and display of plants from all geographical regions of the globe. Currently, its collections include more than 2,500 taxa.
Astrophysical Observatory
The university has the only Astrophysical Optical Observatory in Kuban. It began operating in 1957 and is included in the international register of astronomical observatories (code C 40). It has an optical-electronic telescope with a mirror diameter of 508 mm and other optical instruments.
sports infrastructure
The university has a developed infrastructure for sports activities. 5 sports halls, a multifunctional educational and sports arena (the building area is about 1500 sq.m.), a swimming pool, and an open stadium.
Based on this infrastructure, more than 40 sports sections and teams operate.
Multifunctional zones
In the university, part of the areas are being modernized as multifunctional spaces based on the principles of functional zoning and flexibility of use in the university's activities. At the same time, part of the work is being carried out based on design solutions made by students and teachers of the university.
