Rules for admitting foreign applicants
Detailed information about various methods of admission to a Russian university for foreign citizens. Choose the appropriate option and familiarize yourself with the necessary documents.
Admission as part of a general competition
Standard admission procedure for foreign citizens on general grounds. Admission occurs based on the results of entrance tests or on the basis of education documents.
Required documents:
A document certifying the identity of the applicant and their citizenship (with translation into Russian);

Document of education indicating the subjects studied and the grades received (with translation into Russian);

Certificate of recognition of foreign education (except in cases where recognition in the Russian Federation of education and (or) qualifications obtained in a foreign state is carried out in accordance with international treaties of the Russian Federation).

Important information
You can submit documents for admission in several ways: • using the university's electronic information system (applicant's personal account https://priem.asu-edu.ru/) • by personally visiting the admissions office (Astrakhan, Tatishcheva St., 20a); • through public postal service operators. Please note that documents obtained in a foreign country are provided legalized in the manner prescribed by the legislation of the Russian Federation, or with an apostille (except in cases where, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and/or an international treaty, legalization and apostille are not required). Foreign citizens are admitted to study under the main educational programs both on places under contracts with payment of the cost of education and on places financed from budget allocations of the federal budget of the Russian Federation.
