About the training program
A student specializing in Applied Geology learns the fundamentals of geology and the geochemistry of oil and gas; studies the structural features and distribution of oil- and gas-bearing provinces, as well as major typical oil and gas fields within them in Russia and abroad; is able to solve geological problems related to the exploration and prospecting of oil and gas fields; and participate in the development of oil, gas, and gas-condensate fields, the construction, testing, and study of wells, and the collection, transportation, processing, and storage of oil and gas.
