About the University
North Ossetian State University named after Kosta Levanovich Khetagurov (NOSU) is the oldest classical university in the North Caucasus. In 2025, the university celebrated the 105th anniversary of its founding.
Today, NOSU is a modern multidisciplinary educational and research center that provides training for highly qualified specialists, conducts fundamental and applied research, develops international cooperation, and implements projects important for the socio-economic development of the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania and the Russian Federation.
The university is among the leading higher education institutions in the North Caucasus Federal District and holds strong positions in Russian university rankings, including RAEX.

Mini-football fields
The field measures 42×48 meters and can be divided into two sections for two training sessions to take place simultaneously. The stands have a capacity of 456 seats. The new fields are equipped with everything necessary for comfortable training sessions and competitions.
Sports complex
The sports complex of СОГУ includes the Dolphin Sports and Recreation Complex and the Palace of Sports. It comprises a swimming pool, freestyle wrestling halls, halls for team sports, strength training, gymnastics, fitness and tennis.
Dormitories
SOGU has two residence halls with a total capacity of 355 places. Students can choose rooms with or without a kitchenette, equipped with the necessary furniture, a refrigerator, and a microwave. The residence halls also feature shared kitchens, showers, laundry rooms, lounges, and computer rooms.
