Rules for settling in a dormitory
Required documents:
- Identity document (foreign passport)
- Migration card
- Voluntary health insurance policy
Settlement conditions:
- A foreign citizen informs about the date of their arrival in Izhevsk within 7 working days, sends a ticket to Russia and to Izhevsk, and also attaches notarized translations of the health certificate form 086-U, certificates of vaccinations (mandatory presence of measles vaccination), certificates of absence of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis.
- Upon arrival, a foreign citizen approaches the international department (University, 1, 2k, 128 offices) with documents (an ID document, a migration card, the above-mentioned certificates) and arranges a voluntary medical insurance policy.
- After that, the foreign citizen goes to the head of the Student Township of Udmurt State University (Udmurtskaya, 226) with the above-mentioned documents and fills out an application for accommodation in a dormitory for migration registration. The dormitories are distributed according to the institute (faculty) of the foreign citizen.
- After receiving a referral for residence in a dormitory, a foreign citizen approaches the migration department of UdSU (University, 1, 1k, 238 office) with documents, pays the state fee for migration registration (500 rubles) at the bank to formalize migration registration.
- With belongings and documents, the foreign citizen is sent to the dormitory for an briefing on the rules of residence and check-in.

UdGU offers several hallway and block-type dormitories with shared kitchens. The rooms are designed for 2-4 people. o Accommodation is formalized by a contract. Strictly follow the internal schedule (quiet hour, guest rules). o After settling in, you should be registered at your place of residence. This is important for legal stay. o Cooking is in the common kitchen. Buy your own dishes. There is an access control and security. It is recommended to store valuables in a personal closet. o The administration and the student council will help resolve any issues. Living in a dormitory is a great way to immerse yourself in student life, find friends, and practice the language.
