Important information
Bashkir State Medical University is the best regional medical university according to the international Three University Missions ranking and the third medical university in Russia according to the THE Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The University has developed a powerful ecosystem for training professionals and building clinical competencies. Over recent years, the student body has grown 2.5-fold, while the number of international students has increased fivefold. Four modern academic and laboratory buildings and three student dormitories have been commissioned. The University offers in-demand medical and non-medical specialties, including bioengineering and clinical psychology. The University gives priority to the development of clinical fields. Its structure includes major federal institutions: a 650-bed Clinic, the Russian National Centre for Ophthalmic and Plastic Surgery, the Ufa Eye Diseases Research Institute, and three sanatoriums.
