Volgograd State Agrarian University

Volgograd State Agrarian University is the largest educational institution in the field of training highly qualified specialists for the agro-industrial complex and a leading center of agricultural science in the Lower Volga region. It is also a Federal Educational and Methodological Center responsible for the advanced training and professional retraining of managers and specialists in the agro-industrial complex of the Southern Federal District. Specialists are trained in 14 enlarged groups of specialties. Every year, 98% of graduates successfully find employment. The university conducts successful research in the agro-industrial sector, with its researchers’ work covering 7 fields of science. Thirty research schools operate at the university, along with 27 centers and laboratories. Over its 50 years of operation, the university’s military department has trained more than 15,000 officers for the missile troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
