Moscow State Linguistic University
Today, Moscow State Linguistic University is a modern humanities university and a center for linguistic education that trains highly qualified specialists and conducts fundamental and applied research in various fields of knowledge.
Training of specialists
At MSLU, 40 foreign languages are taught, and language and culture centres operate. The university trains translators, teachers, journalists, theologians, cultural studies specialists, political scientists and lawyers who have an advanced command of at least two foreign languages. A Preparatory Department is also available.
Library
The library provides every student with individual, unlimited access to an electronic library system containing educational, teaching and methodological publications, as well as other literature on the main subjects studied and various electronic databases of other libraries.
Simultaneous Interpretation Center
The MSLU Simultaneous Interpreting Centre is a modern digital complex established with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to mark the university’s 95th anniversary. The Centre is equipped with professional technology and is used to train interpreters and host international events.
