About the training program
The program for the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in graduate school is implemented by the Department of World Economy and World Finance, as well as the Department of International Business of the Faculty of International Economic Relations. The scientific guidance of graduate students is provided by leading specialists in the field of world economy and world finance, who hold the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences. Starting from the second year of study, the dissertation is reviewed by two specialized research scientists. The results of the dissertation research are subject to discussion at regular meetings of the graduate commission.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of the postgraduate program in the specialty "World Economy" are in demand in various fields where expertise in international economic processes and the ability to make decisions at the global level are needed. They build their careers in government agencies—ministries, agencies, trade missions, and the Central Bank, where they are engaged in the formation of foreign economic policy, analysis of trade balances, assessment of the impact of international agreements, and macroeconomic forecasting. In the financial sector — in banks and investment companies — graduates assess currency and credit risks, develop international financing strategies, and support foreign trade operations.
