About the training program
The "Demography" direction is an opportunity to conduct fundamental and applied research on population dynamics, fertility and mortality factors, migration processes, and their socio-economic consequences. You will study modern demographic trends, analyze the effectiveness of family and migration policy measures, and develop population size and structure forecasts using modern statistical methods and Big Data.
What do graduates do?
State bodies (Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Health, regional administrations) — development and evaluation of demographic policy; Rosstat and research centers — collection and analysis of population data, forecasting; Research institutes and universities — scientific research, teaching, expertise; NGOs and foundations — projects to support families, motherhood, and childhood; consulting companies — demographic analysis for businesses and municipalities; international organizations (UN, WHO, World Bank) — population programs; medical and social institutions — analysis of population needs, service planning.
