Students must be taught the healthcare technologies and methods that will be relevant by the time they complete their specialist degree— that is, in 6–8 years or more. Such training is possible only at research centers where the technologies of tomorrow are concentrated. At the same time, instruction in new technologies should be combined with hands-on bedside training, using and further improving these technologies.
