The specialty "Mineralogy, crystallography. Geochemistry, geochemical methods of mineral exploration" is a field of knowledge about the properties and composition of minerals; the laws of the atomic structure of solid bodies, the forms and geometry of crystal structures, the interrelation of the atomic structure of crystals with their chemical, physical, and geometric properties; the geological conditions and physicochemical conditions of mineral formation, the mechanisms of mineral formation, growth, and change, mineralogical criteria for the search and evaluation of ore and non-ore raw materials, etc.
