About the training program

Mining, oil and gas geology, geophysics, surveying, and subsurface geometry are mining sciences that study the mining-geological and mining-technical conditions for the development of solid, liquid, and gaseous mineral deposits, the forms, properties, structure, and condition of rock masses and their changes due to mining operations, the spatio-temporal arrangement of elements of mining-technical systems, and justify the instrumental, methodological, and software support for geological, geophysical, and surveying operations in mines, quarries, etc.

What do graduates do?

The main competencies of a graduate are: the ability to critically analyze and evaluate modern scientific achievements, generate new ideas when solving research and practical tasks, including in interdisciplinary areas; the ability to perform quantitative and qualitative assessment of indicators of shifts, deformations, and stresses obtained as a result of modeling; the ability to develop predictive methods for assessing the consequences of mining the thickness of rocks and the Earth's surface based on the modeling of geomechanical processes.
