About organization
Herzen University is the oldest pedagogical university in Russia, combining the traditions of a classical university with tertiary school of pedagogy.
The variety of educational programs, research projects, and creative initiatives from both educators and students make the university a powerful scientific and cultural-educational complex.

The epicenter for support and encouragement of students’ creative initiatives, where they are taught how to organize cultural public events and prepare for extracurricular pedagogical work.
TECHNOLOGY PARK
An educational environment where teams of student - future teachers and educators - create and test innovative educational products together with their research supervisors and partners, developing unique methodologies and didactic kits aimed at improving the quality of education in schools.
Russian House
The Russian House is a department for international students offers Russian language courses for absolute beginners. The programs are designed for any level of Russian language and vary in length from 2 weeks to 10 months. The course is available now.
Library
The Fundamental Library named after Empress Maria Feodorovna is the oldest and largest university library in Russia. Established alongside the university, the library has made a significant contribution to the university’s research and educational work.
MSG
The Intercollegiate campus is the largest student dormitory in Russia, which houses more than 8 thousand students who came to study from various parts of Russia, near and far abroad.
