About the training program

The program is designed to train specialists in the field of nuclear and radiation safety of humans and the environment. The program deals with issues related to the impact of ionizing radiation on living objects, the state of protection of people from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation on their health. The program is implemented with the participation of leading specialists from Rosatom State Corporation, the Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear Safety, medical centers and the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation.

What do graduates do for a living?

Graduates of the program are capable of complex safety analysis of nuclear power facilities using modern computer technologies. The scope of scientific interests of graduates includes development of effective approaches to safety substantiation, which are based on development and practical application of modern mathematical and software algorithms, development of detailed physical models of complex processes and methods of probabilistic safety analysis, creation of numerical models of transfer of radioactive and chemically hazardous substances in the environment.
