About the training program
The overall goal of the postgraduate program in the scientific specialty 4.1.2. Plant Breeding, Seed Production, and Biotechnology is to form competencies necessary for successful scientific research and pedagogical work in the field of breeding and seed production of agricultural plants in Russia and the world, for conscious and independent construction and implementation of prospects for one's development and career growth, allowing the graduate to successfully work in the field of science, education, management, and be stable in the labor market.
What do graduates do?
Graduates are experts in implementing import substitution projects and protecting the plant gene pool. They are in demand at agricultural universities, research institutes, plant breeding and seed production companies, biotechnology companies, and agricultural regulatory authorities. They work as researchers, geneticists, plant-breeding agronomists, and lecturers, conducting molecular genetic analysis, variety testing, elite seed production, and the implementation of biotechnologies, as well as managing independent projects and patenting their developments.
