About the training program

The overall goal of the postgraduate program in the scientific specialty 4.2.5. Animal Breeding, Selection, Genetics, and Biotechnology is to form competencies necessary for successful scientific research and pedagogical work in the field of animal breeding, selection, genetics, and biotechnology for conscious and independent construction and implementation of prospects for one's development and career growth, allowing the graduate to successfully work in the field of science, education, management, and be stable in the labor market.

What do graduates do?

Graduates find employment in research institutes (RAS, the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences), breeding and selection-and-hybridization centers, reproductive biotechnology and genomic selection laboratories, higher education institutions (research and teaching), livestock complexes, poultry farms (breeders, geneticists, and animal breeding specialists), artificial insemination and embryo transfer companies, cryobanks, and bodies responsible for managing pedigree livestock breeding.
