Admission as part of a general competition

Standard admission procedure for foreign citizens on general grounds. Admission occurs based on the results of entrance tests or on the basis of education documents.

Quota receipt

Admission within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for foreign citizens. The number of places is limited, selection is conducted on a competitive basis through Rossotrudnichestvo.

Admission to the Olympiads

Preferential admission for winners and prize-winners of international olympiads included in the list of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The right to admission without entrance exams is granted.

Important information

NArFU is pleased to offer international students a range of opportunities to apply for programmes at various levels: I. Russian Government quota Studying under the Government quota includes the payment of a scholarship regardless of academic performance. Applications and candidate selection are managed by the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office/Embassy of the Russian Federation in the applicant’s country of residence. Applications are submitted via the website: Education in Russia https://education-in-russia.com/ from September to December. II. Admission to state-funded places through the general competition Admission on an equal basis with Russian applicants (Federal Law No. 99-FZ “On the State Policy of the Russian Federation Regarding Compatriots Abroad”) based on the results of entrance examinations administered independently by the university (Russian language and two specialised subjects). III. Admission on a fee-paying (contract) basis upon successfully passing NArFU entrance examinations.
