About the University
St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University is a leading center for advanced scientific, technical, and educational technologies. The university is a member of the Pan-Asian Association of Marine Engineering Societies (PAAMES), the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMAREST), the Alliance for Innovation in Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering (ICNAME, China), and a participant in the Network University of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Joint educational programs are being implemented with Harbin Engineering University and Zhejiang Ocean University (PRC) in the field of shipbuilding and ocean engineering. A network agreement has been signed for the implementation of the educational project "St. Petersburg Institute of Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering of Guangdong Ocean University." Every year, the university holds the International Student School "Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering," in which students from different countries of the world participate.

Museum
The Museum of the History of Shipbuilding and Shipbuilding Education vividly demonstrates the history of the creation of the Russian fleet. Among the exhibits are models of sailing battleships, historical documents, models of submarines and torpedo tubes, as well as materials reflecting the history of shipbuilding.
Educational and laboratory complex
Student Design Bureau of Robotics and Intelligent Systems, as well as two educational and scientific laboratories – "Intelligent Control Systems and Mobile Robotics", "Industrial Robotics".
martial arts center
Martial arts is the largest sports module at SPbGMTU, which includes national teams in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, boxing, judo, jiu-jitsu, karate, combat and sports sambo, and taekwondo.
Medical Prevention Center
Center for Marine Industrial Medicine of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency. The reception is conducted by qualified specialist doctors: therapist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, surgeon, etc. Services are available for foreign students on a paid basis and within the framework of voluntary medical insurance.
Congress Center
A magnificently equipped building for holding large-scale business events as part of the cultural, scientific, and educational activities of SPbGMTU. Also within the Congress Center is a dining room with 90 seats.
Sports complex
The total area of the premises is about 6700 square meters, on which there is a 25-meter pool with 5 lanes and spectator seats for 300 people, as well as a volleyball arena measuring 18x9 meters with stands for 2063 spectators.
