The program is designed to train broad-based engineer-physicists for enterprises of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom.” The education is practice-oriented and supported by a strong theoretical foundation studied over 5.5 years. A key feature is the opportunity to choose one of three educational tracks after the second year: “Technology for the Production of Electric and Thermal Energy at Nuclear Power Plants,” “Nuclear Power Plant Electrical Equipment,” or “Nuclear Power Plant Turbine Island Equipment.” Close links with industry are ensured through the specialized department “Nuclear Power Engineering,” established at the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant (a branch of JSC “K Concern Rosenergoatom”).
