About the training program
The educational program "Distributive Electric Networks" is aimed at the practice-oriented training of specialists in the electric grid complex (up to 220 kV inclusive). It is implemented using targeted training in cooperation with relevant organizations. The program covers design and operational activities, focusing on the study of overhead and cable transmission lines, power equipment of transformer substations, as well as the analysis of the operating modes of distribution electrical networks.
What do graduates do?
Graduates work in power grid companies and at energy facilities — they are engaged in the operation and design of distribution networks, overhead and cable transmission lines, and transformer substations. They are employed in dispatch services for managing power grids, in organizations for diagnosing and assessing the condition of power equipment (transformers, switching devices, reactive power compensation means, relay protection and automation devices). They are also in demand at power stations and in companies ensuring the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers.
