About the training program

The program prepares highly qualified specialists for research and development of materials processing technologies in mechanical engineering. Students master modern methods of design and modeling (mathematical, physical, and computer) of technological processes, study the theory of materials science and the physical foundations of highly efficient processing technologies. They master methods of working with concentrated energy flows, including electron-beam technologies. The knowledge is applicable in the creation and improvement of technologies for manufacturing products from metals and alloys.

What do graduates do?

Graduates work at machine-building and aerospace enterprises, in research and development organizations, and service departments. They are engaged in the design of technological equipment, development, and implementation of technological processes—including electron-beam, laser, plasma, and additive processes. Ensure quality control and product testing, perform installation, commissioning, operation, diagnostics, and repair of equipment. Manage production projects in mechanical engineering and energy, work with regulatory documentation, standardization systems, and non-destructive testing methods.
