About the University
Pskov State University offers the educational programs of a classical university: teacher training, engineering, IT, humanities, natural sciences, law, and management—around 200 educational programs in total. In addition, it trains specialists for the healthcare sector.
This dynamically developing university, located at the intersection of three countries, has a rich 90-year history and an extensive network of partners both within the Russian Federation and abroad.
The mission of Pskov State University is to train highly qualified and competitive specialists with fundamental knowledge in their professional fields and general cultural competencies, in the interests of the economic, political, social, historical, and cultural development of Pskov Region as a border region, taking into account the development of knowledge-intensive and high-tech sectors of the economy, as well as the needs of the labor market in the Northwestern Region and the Russian Federation.

Main Building of Pskov State University
Today, the center of Pskov is impossible to imagine without the main building of Pskov State University, located at 2 Lenin Square.
The building houses classrooms and laboratories of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, as well as the Institute of Humanities and Language Communications, a canteen, a gym, and administrative offices.
Teaching and Laboratory Building
The educational and laboratory complex comprises educational, laboratory, and academic blocks, premises for departments and administrative and support services, as well as the Accreditation and Simulation Center of Pskov State University. The laboratories and classrooms are equipped with modern facilities.
Advanced Engineering School of the Union State
The facilities of the Advanced Engineering School of Hybrid Technologies in Machine Tool Building of the Union State are located on Tolstogo Street. The buildings are equipped with training workshops and educational spaces, and a gym is available for students and staff.
Universant Swimming Pool
The Universant swimming pool is located at 25 Plekhanovsky Posad Street. It has six 25-metre lanes, with a depth ranging from 1.2 to 1.8 metres. The water is purified using ozonation. A qualified team of coaches is available.
Boiling point
It includes a coworking space, meeting rooms, and five lecture halls: “Education,” “Environment,” “Security,” “Technology,” and “Health.” Professional development courses are held here, along with lectures and public meetings, as well as international and educational projects.
PskovSU Library
The largest university library in Pskov Region, with a collection of more than 600,000 printed publications and access to electronic research and educational resources.
