Pediatrics is a specialty that involves specialization in the health of children from birth to 18 years old and includes several directions: social — proper care for the child, diets, vaccination; neonatology — diseases and pathologies of newborns; clinical — examination, treatment, and rehabilitation; preventive — diagnosis of hereditary diseases, detection of pathologies.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of pediatric faculties can work: In children's clinics - conduct outpatient visits, monitor children from birth to 18 years old, conduct preventive examinations and treatment of diseases. In children's hospitals — from the emergency room to specialized departments, treating children with acute conditions and chronic diseases requiring hospitalization. In perinatal centers, pediatric neonatologists monitor newborns, including premature infants and infants with congenital pathologies. In private medical centers, pediatricians provide consulting assistance. In emergency and first aid services, they work as a children's "ambulance."
