About the University
The Dagestan State Medical University turned 90 in 2022. This is the age of maturity and wisdom, reflection on the path traveled, and further progress. Currently, the Dagestan State Medical University is a large educational, scientific, and therapeutic center, which includes 5 faculties, a fairly large in-house base for fundamental and paraclinical disciplines, a wide network of clinical bases of all profiles (more than 40), 75 departments headed by doctors of sciences, professors, the Research Institute of Human Ecology of Mountain Territories, a consultative-diagnostic clinic, a medical college, a graduate employment center, an information and computing department, a technical support center, an analytical department, an Internet center, a scientific medical library, a sports complex, and a publishing and printing center.

Anatomical Museum
The Anatomy Museum is a platform for those who are taking their first steps in medicine and pharmacy, as mastering this basic specialty affects their professional competencies. Museum objects are available during students' training. Modern 3D technologies are used for visualizing materials.
Nanomedicine Laboratory
The Laboratory of Fundamental Nanomedicine is equipped with modern equipment, the key element of which is the atomic layer deposition reactor (ALD). Applied research on biocompatible materials for application in various areas of medicine is conducted within the laboratory.
Sports complex
"The preparation of medical students, future doctors, should go through modern sports complexes, modern equipment. And students, by their personal example, promoting a healthy lifestyle, will contribute to the primary and secondary prevention of many diseases," - Rector of DSMU.
innovation center
The Scientific and Educational Innovation Center combines educational technologies within the framework of a simulation accreditation center and scientific technologies within the Center for Collective Use. Here, students will be able to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities in simulated conditions.
Educational and Medical Center
The Educational and Medical Center of DGMU is a diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive center designed to provide medical and sanitary assistance to employees, students, and the population of the Republic at the medical level, conduct health improvement work, and organize outpatient treatment for patients.
