Geometry and topology are branches of mathematics that study the geometric and topological properties of point configurations. In geometry, geometric figures are studied using algebra, mathematical analysis, and the theory of differential equations. Topology investigates the properties of continuity of geometric objects both directly by topological methods and with the help of the mathematical apparatus of algebra and mathematical analysis.
