About the University
Novosibirsk State University (NSU) is a leading Russian research university and ranks among the top five universities in the country.
NSU is located in Akademgorodok, the Novosibirsk Scientific Centre, where more than 30 research institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, with which the university closely cooperates, as well as one of Russia’s best technology parks, are situated within an area of just a few square kilometres.
The university is developing dynamically and offers a wide range of in-demand fields of study and advanced programmes — from biotechnology and IT to business and oil and gas engineering.
Today, NSU provides education through 10 faculties and institutes, with more than 8,700 students and over 2,800 faculty members, 80% of whom are employees of research institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Modern NSU Campus
NSU is participating in the “Creation of a Network of Modern Campuses” project. Modern infrastructure is one of the fundamental conditions for comfortable research activities, innovative work by young scientists, and students’ independent and project-based work.
Comfortable dormitories
NSU is participating in the “Creation of a Network of Modern Campuses” project. As part of the project, a complex of two dormitories with a capacity of 690 beds was built and commissioned. In addition to living rooms, they include lounges, kitchen-living rooms, and other infrastructure designed for comfortable leisure.

Supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, a hospital and outpatient clinic, and fitness clubs are located near the campus. The student campus has a sports center with a swimming pool, saunas, gyms, a tennis court and volleyball courts, as well as a student canteen and snack bars.
