About the University
Northern State Medical University (NSMU) is a leading medical university in the European North of Russia, located in Arkhangelsk, the administrative center of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The University trains physicians, dentists, pharmacists, and public health specialists, and offers residency and postgraduate programs. Education combines fundamental theoretical training with practical work at multidisciplinary clinics and medical organizations in the region. Educational programs in English are available for international students, and a support system for international students is in place. Students from various countries around the world study at NSMU. The University develops international cooperation with foreign educational and research organizations, participates in international professional events, and pays particular attention to public health issues in the North and the Arctic.
