About the training program
The History degree program at the Faculty of History and Social Sciences of Leningrad State University is the first step toward an academic career. The “Social Anthropology” specialization will make this step relevant and productive. The anthropological focus is expressed through a comprehensive study of people and society through the changing perspective of years and centuries. The specialization includes a wide range of academic disciplines organized into blocks. These cover various areas of historical scholarship, archaeological research, and ethnological studies. History students will have the opportunity to undertake practical training in an archaeological expedition, as well as in museums and archives.
